ABot-M0: VLA Foundation Model for Robotic Manipulation with Action Manifold Learning

Technical Analysis is a framework to build a systematic data curation pipeline while jointly optimizing model architecture and training strategies, enabling end-to-end transformation of heterogeneous raw data into unified, efficient representations. High-level Analogy: Imagine you're trying to teach a robotic artist to draw. The traditional way (state of the art) is like giving the robot a slightly messy drawing and telling it to figure out all the tiny 'mistakes' (the 'noise') to clean it up. This is hard because there are countless ways to make mistakes, and each drawing might come on different paper with different tools, making it tough to learn a general skill. ABot-M0's approach is like giving the robot a massive, organized library of excellent drawings from various artists, all converted to a standard format (the UniACT-dataset). Then, instead of focusing on the 'mistakes', you teach the robot to directly imagine and draw the perfect, finished picture from a rough sketch (the Action Manifold Learning). It's as if you're saying, 'Good drawings aren't random; they follow clear artistic principles. Focus on those principles to directly create the ideal drawing.' Plus, the robot gets extra artistic guidance, like understanding the 3D depth of objects in a scene, not just their 2D appearance (the Modular Perception).
